A Nonpartisan Conversation on Climate Change
Flooding, droughts, wildfires, hurricanes...
Is this the new normal?
The Warrenton Garden Club, with support from Finley's Green Leap Forward and the Piedmont Environmental Council, is pleased to host C-Change Conversations at our Annual Conservation Forum.
Kathleen Biggins, co-founder of the non-partisan, non-profit organization, will present clear, unbiased, scientific information on climate change. C-Change Conversations:
-
promotes a discussion about the risks and opportunities associated with climate change now and in the future;
-
provides answers to many of the questions most Americans have on the topic; and
-
encourages action to blunt the most significant threats and support efforts to adapt to a changing environment.
The C-Change presentation has been developed in consultation with independent scientists and public policy specialists who span the political spectrum and relies heavily on charts and visual media to help the science come alive.
Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. at Rice Auditorium, located on the campus of Highland School. The talk will be followed by Q&A and light refreshments in the lobby. The event is free and open to the public; however, reservations are appreciated via eventbrite.
